The school was visited by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education in May 2007 and the following report praised the school for its excellence in a number of areas.
These included:
- the excellent relationships and teamwork of the staff
- the strong partnership with parents, other schools and the wider community
- the excellent leadership of the head teacher
Head teacher Marie Noone said: "As a school community, we are delighted by the report because it recognises the hard work of all the staff, the enthusiasm of the children and the commitment of the parents."
"After the report was published, we had a little celebration with songs and a ceilidh with all the children. We talk about it in assemblies so the children are very aware of how well they have done and they are very proud."
Last year, the school was also awarded the Charter Mark award for excellence and became an Eco-school when it was awarded a Green Flag.
