Renfrewshire's Provost Celia Lawson is inviting members of the community to join her in celebrating the festive season in style at this year's Provost's Winter Ball.
The glittering event, on November 28, promises a great night whilst raising money for a much deserving local charity. This year's chosen charity is Alzheimer's Scotland (Paisley branch).
Provost Lawson said: "Last year was the first Provost's Winter Ball, and I was delighted how warmly it was received by the people of Renfrewshire. This year we have chosen Alzheimer's Scotland (Paisley branch) because it is something that affects many people's lives. I hope this year's ball will even better and we raise even more money for this very worthwhile cause."
"Everyone is welcome to come to the ball, whether it's as a large group for a Christmas night out, or just one or two people. It's a chance for people to get dressed up and enjoy a excellent night out whilst also raising money for charity."
Heating up the winter wonderland evening will be live music from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, who's previous performances have including leading New York's famous Tartan Day parade and played on the main stage at T in the Park.
Jane Cox, fundraiser for St Vincent's Hospice, said: "I wouldn't want to miss it this year. We took a table last year and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the night. We are all really looking forward to this year's event and know it means so much to the charity. As a charity ourselves, we appreciate that it's difficult to make that choice and the Provost is very thoughtful making sure it is a charity that really deserves it, which is lovely."
