Renfrewshire Council is inviting private landlords to attend the second in a series of forums aimed at working together to provide high-quality, private rented homes for local residents.
The Private Landlord Forum is being hosted by the council on Tuesday 19 February in Paisley Town Hall.
Councillor Brian Lawson, Renfrewshire Council's convener of housing and community safety, said: "The first forum was well attended last year and the council received very positive feedback and support from landlords for more events."
“The forum provides a useful information exchange at which the council can keep landlords up to date with changes in the law and other issues while working together to drive out rogue landlords who illegally let poor quality property."
"We would again like to extend an invitation to all private landlords operating in Renfrewshire to attend our next forum in February."
Among the topics for discussion at the next forum are:
- details on the steps being taken by the council to make sure that all private sector landlords are registered
- changes to housing benefit rules with the introduction of Local Housing Allowance
- general advice and information for landlords.
Any landlords or agents letting property in Renfrewshire who want to attend the next forum should register by sending an email to privategrants.hps@renfrewshire.gov.uk or contacting Private Sector Housing on 0141 840 3904.
