What is measured?
These indicators give you information on the number of attendances (per 1,000 population) for pools and indoor sports and leisure facilities.

It's important to note that the indicators do not record the number of users; a particular figure may reflect high usage by a small number of individuals or low usage by a large number of individuals. Wide variations in usage between different facilities may also be concealed.
What factors influenced our performance?
The number of attendances per 1,000 population for pools fell due to Erskine pool being closed for refurbishment for 3 months this year. There was also temporary closure at Renfrew Baths for refurbishment which reduced attendance further.
The number of attendances per 1,000 population for indoor facilities increased due to growth in fitness gym attendance through new location, sports camp programmes and additional indoor facilities at Ralston Community Sport Centre.
