Johnstone high school

New sporting facilities have made a significant improvement to Johnstone high school. A new-build stand-alone games hall, the size of four badminton courts, is now the largest in all our schools. The new games hall can accommodate 5-a-side football, basketball and volleyball. It also has a reception area/office space, a communal area, a viewing area and a disabled toilet/changing room.

Trinity high school

Improvements in the heating and lighting systems, and the upgrading of electrical and IT cabling, are just a few of the improvements in Trinity high school. Major new features include the construction of a new-build extension with five modern languages classrooms, a new fitness suite and an enlarged dining hall. A large social area for pupils has also been created and has been a major success.

Langcraigs campus

The campus, which includes Langcraigs primary school and Glenfield community nursery, has undergone a significant refurbishment. In Langcraigs primary school, a completely new front entrance has improved the appearance of the school and its security. The redesign of the dining hall and the gymnasium area has created separate entries to both spaces and a new link corridor makes access to upstairs classrooms and movement around the school much easier. Glenfield community nursery now enjoys redesigned playrooms and ancillary rooms, an upgraded staffroom and new pupil toilets located next to each of the playrooms.

Williamsburgh primary school

The old gymnasium has been replaced by a new-build modern facility with climbing frames and markings for netball, volleyball and 5-a-side football. Facilities include new changing rooms, disabled changing rooms and storage space, and the games hall is now linked to the main building by a covered corridor. The dining hall has been enlarged and upgraded to improve catering facilities for pupils. Security systems have also been upgraded and more car parking space has been provided.
