There are many local funding opportunities available to organisations in Renfrewshire.
The Renfrewshire Environmental Trust is continuing its support of local community groups with grants of up to £5,000. Any organisation which is not-for-profit and has a constitution and a bank account can apply.
In the past year, initiatives which have been supported focus on either repairing sites of historic interest or improving public amenities and parks.

Grants from the trust are for capital and certain revenue expenditure, will not normally exceed £5,000 and should normally be spent within one year. Their grants will normally provide up to a maximum of 75% of total project costs.

Renfrewshire LEADER Funding is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme aimed at improving the quality of the environment and promoting economic and community development within rural areas.

The type of groups who can apply for funding are:
- constituted community groups
- social enterprises
- micro or small businesses
- voluntary organisations, and
- public sector bodies with a project idea to benefit the rural community.
