Help is at hand for business rates

Do you have a question over how the rates for your property or business were assessed?
Renfrewshire Council recommends residents exercise caution if contacted by cold callers offering to cut your business rates.
Instead, there is a quick and easy way you can go online to find out your rateable value. Just log on to the website of the Scottish Assessors Association. To do so, you will need your address and postcode at the ready.
This website can also tell you if the rateable value of your property or business is already under appeal.
If you need any further advice or information regarding your non-domestic rates bill, please call Renfrewshire Council's Revenues Team on 0141 842 5211 or email us at ndr.finit@renfrewshire.gov.uk.
You can also write to us at Operational Services – Revenues, Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, PA1 1JB.
If your enquiry relates to how your property was valued, you should call the Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board on 0141 842 5922 or email them at assessor@renfrewshire-vjb.gov.uk.
You can write to RVJB at The Robertson Centre, Glasgow Road, Paisley, PA1 3QF.
