Closure of Clyde Coastguard Centre: Write to your MP and MSP
Home > News and events > Features
The UK Government has announced that the Clyde Coastguard Centre in Greenock will close by March 2015.
Renfrewshire Council is strongly opposed to this and joined the campaign against the decision during the consultation period – and urged residents to sign the petition against the move.
Following the announcement that the service will transfer to Belfast, the council is again urging residents to make their views known.
Please write to your MP and MSP to voice concerns about the closure – and ask them to raise this with Michael Moor MP, Secretary of State for Scotland and Mike Penning MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport.
Find out who your MSP is and how to get in touch on our MSP web page, and get your MP details from our MP Paisley and Renfrewshire South page and MP Paisley and Renfrewshire North page.
