How do we use consultation in practice?

Consultation helps us to:

• plan services to meet our customers’ needs and expectations
• find out what is important to our customers
• monitor the effectiveness of our services
• prioritise services and make better use of resources
• improve services and service delivery
• monitor how satisfied our customers are with the services we provide.

What types of consultation do we carry out?

We consult in a number of ways including:

• Public Services Panel
• focus groups
• surveys and comment cards
• online polling
• rate this information feature on all web pages
