Services for older people

Home > Services > Social care and health > Services for older people

Social Work provides and arranges adult services for a variety of older people who are frail or have other disabilities. The care and support provided helps older people to remain in the community and reduces their vulnerability. The types of care offered include home care, day care, respite care and care homes.

We also provide services to support your carer to look after you. Use the links below to find out more about the services we provide.

If an older person needs any community care services, a social worker or other professional such as a nurse, will carry out an assessment to identify their requirements and how best to meet them. The worker will then arrange to put in place services that best meet the individual's needs.
