The Renfrewshire Fostering and Adoption Service is run by Renfrewshire Council and supports around 60 carers living in Renfrewshire. Our carers have indicated that they derive considerable satisfaction from their involvement with the children, from the sense of helping and, significantly, from the realisation that they are making a contribution to their local community.
The British Association for Adoption and Fostering conducted a review of the Council's Fostering Service and concluded that there is a high level of satisfaction from our carers and consistent positive comments from carers about the high level of support received from our resource team.
We need all kinds of people to become adoptive parents and foster carers for all types of children. So if you are tolerant, flexible and patient these pages will give you more information if you are interested in finding out what is involved.
