The British Association for Adoption and Fostering conducted a review of the council's Fostering Service and concluded that there is a high level of satisfaction from our carers and consistent positive comments from carers about the high level of support received from our resource team.

We need all kinds of people to become adoptive parents and foster carers for all types of children. So if you are tolerant, flexible and patient these pages will give you more information if you are interested in finding out what is involved.

HandsOnScotland is an online resource for anybody working with or caring for children and young people. The website provides practical information and techniques on how to respond helpfully to children and young people's troubling behaviour and offers advice and activities on how to help them flourish. For more information please visit the HandsOnScotland website. The website was commissioned by the Scottish Government through Heads up Scotland and was developed by Playfield Institute (NHS Fife) in partnership with Barnardo's and the University of Dundee.
