Improved access for walking and cycling allows us to get about more easily and also helps to improve our health and well being by encouraging exercise among all age groups.

Under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 the Council is required to prepare a core path plan, set up a local outdoor access forum, uphold access rights and promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.
