The framework for road safety activities carried out by Renfrewshire Council is set out in our Local Transport Strategy.

Key road safety activities provided include:

• Policy preparation
• Route action planning
• Education, training and publicity
• Road safety audits, advice and traffic regulation
• Evaluation of pelican crossings and school crossing patrols
• Accident evaluation and monitoring
• Traffic calming and accident reduction schemes
• Cycling initiatives
