Town Centre Regeneration Fund
Town centres play an important role as employment, retail and cultural centres, contributing to economic growth and the health and wellbeing of our communities. As such, the regeneration of Renfrewshire’s towns and villages is a key priority for the Council.
The Scottish Government launched the Town Centre Regeneration Fund (TCRF) to assist in the improvement of Scotland’s town centres and High Streets. Renfrewshire Council submitted a TCRF bid for projects within both Paisley and the wider towns and villages, supported by Community Planning Partners, key stakeholders and local community groups.
The bid was successful and the Council were awarded a total of £2.55m. This award, augmented by the Council’s own capital budgets and associated funding streams, has assisted in the delivery of over £3m of improvements.
