Business Venture Fund (BVF)

Business Venture Fund provides discretionary financial assistance towards upgrading/expanding business premises and/or investment in new capital equipment (not including motor vehicles). The grant will be paid once the improvements/investments have been satisfactorily completed and the suppliers have been paid by the business

Level of Support

• Upgrading/expanding premises - up to 50% of costs, subject to a maximum grant of £8,000.
• Capital equipment - up to 30% of costs, subject to a maximum grant of £4,000.

Eligibility

• The business must have a permanent base within the Renfrewshire Council area and employ fewer than 250 employees (including employees of any parent company).
• The business must be engaged in manufacturing or business to business services. (Those providing a business service must be able to evidence that at least 30% of turnover is from outwith Renfrewshire).
• Retail businesses and businesses providing a service to the general public are not eligible for support under this programme.
• Any projects already started are not eligible for support.
