In response to residents growing concerns about the amount of graffiti across parts of Renfrewshire, the Council have introduced a graffiti removal team to work in specific areas.
A general list of graffiti removal areas where our team operate is shown in the Related Content menu on the right hand side of this page. The service is free and can remove graffiti from public or private property in their operational areas. Where graffiti is being removed from private property, the owner must first sign a notice of waiver form before work can start.
Priority is given to any graffiti that contains racial, sectarian or obscene wording or images, and the Council will remove such graffiti within 24 hours of receiving notification. The removal teams are made up of local unemployed residents who all take part in the Renfrewshire Council led 'Deal Me In' training programme.
