Renfrewshire Council's Energy Advice Unit helps householders deal with any fuel related enquiries and problems.
Free advice
Energy advisors give independent advice on many fuel related and heating matters, including advice on high fuel bills, understanding heating controls, payment schemes, arrears, as well as providing impartial advice on the gas and electricity companies.
Lower your costs
The unit can often negotiate reductions in the amount you are being asked to pay by the electricity and gas companies. We can suggest ways to help you reduce your costs, choose a suitable payment method, arrange repayments of debt and prevent disconnection.
Don't sit worrying about those bills! Take free advice from Energy Advice now!
Grants for warmer homes
The Energy Advice Unit promotes government grants to help make your home more energy efficient. To find out if you could qualify for help to install loft or cavity insulation, draught proofing, low energy lighting or other similar measures, contact Energy Advice.
Do any of these apply to you?
- unsure of how to operate the central heating system and control in your home?
- threatened with disconnection or presently disconnected?
- feel you are paying too much on weekly, monthly or fuel direct payments?
- wanting to change your payment method?
- getting too many estimated accounts?
- bills too high?
- moving into a new home and needing advice on fuel and heating costs?
