The Council's housing advice and homeless services are based in Mirren Chambers, 41 Gauze Street, Paisley, PA1 1EX.
If you are homeless, threatened with homelessness, or need advice about your rights in privately rented accommodation, we can help.
The type of advice and information we give you will depend on your individual circumstances, for example:
- if you are homeless or threatened with homelessness, we can consider a homeless application
- we can provide information to help you apply for housing through the council, housing associations or the private sector
- we can provide information on tenants’ and landlords’ rights and responsibilities
- we can provide information leaflets which give advice on harassment and illegal eviction if you are renting from a landlord
- we can provide information about specialist agencies who offer their services:

Homelessness Strategy
A new Homelessness Strategy is currently being developed for 2008-13. The original Homelessness Strategy 2003-08 explains the Council's position on homelessness. It details how we, together with our partners, will make sure that homelessness services develop in line with the needs and aspirations of local people. The Strategy is available for download from the Related Content menu on the right.
