Trading standards monitor customer views on their services. Below are examples of customer suggestions, compliments and complaints received.
Suggestions
We asked our customers for suggestions on how we could improve our service. As a result of the suggestions we received:
- We developed a web page to include information warning consumers about the dangers of scams. This web page now includes links to the Office of Fair Trading and a dedicated 'scam awareness' website.
- We moved the renewal date for traders' fireworks registration back one month, to allow them more time to comply with registration requirements before fireworks night.
Compliments
Our customers sent us many letters of thanks and compliments. We have listed some of these below:
- "I would like to point out the excellent work which has been done in getting a result and my laptop repaired free of charge".
- "I would like to take this opportunity to commend both your officer and your department and wish you many thanks".
- "I wish to reiterate my family's gratitude to you for your assistance and I am confident that the success we have achieved could not have resulted without your involvement".
