It is an offence to operate any of the following facilities without a licence:

• pet shop
• animal boarding establishment (such as a kennel or a cattery)
• horse riding establishment
• zoo

Any person who exhibits or trains any performing animal such as for advertising, circuses, cabarets, film making, plays, or so on, should also be registered on the Performing Animals Register.
