Renfrewshire Museums collect, preserve and display material of historical and cultural interest to everyone. Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, Coats Observatory and Renfrew Museum house a collection of objects and displays relating to history, art, textiles, natural history, science and technology.
The Paisley Shawl Collection cared for by Renfrewshire Arts and Museums Service is a Recognised Collection of National Significance to Scotland.
Renfrewshire Arts and Museums service offers an education and outreach service, a family and local history research service, an extensive exhibition programme and a wide variety of events and activities for all ages.

Renfrewshire Arts and Museums manages Paisley Arts Centre, Paisley Town Hall, Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, Renfrew Community Museum and Coats Observatory, organises local festivals and events and runs a community arts outreach programme. It is part of Renfrewshire Council's department of Education and Leisure Services.
