Exciting + ambitious = Our schools' estate programme

Two pupils at the new Todholm Primary School
Our ten-year programme to improve the quality of our schools and nurseries is now well underway. And already, our kids are giving it the thumbs-up!

With £263million being invested over that period in 37 of Renfrewshire's schools and nurseries, the schools' estate programme represents one of the biggest-ever investments in Renfrewshire. We believe it will greatly improve our children's learning experience at school and also encourage more people in the community to take the opportunity to learn.

The first phase of the programme was completed when four new schools opened at the start of the 2006/2007 session: Major refurbishments were also completed at Johnstone High School, Trinity High School,,Williamsburgh Primary School and the Langcraigs campus which includes Langcraigs Primary School and Glenfield Community Nursery.

Our second phase was completed when these three new schools opened for the 2007/2008 session: Also new for the 2007/2008 session was the refurbished Gryffe High School.
