Our e-resources are free to library members and offer online information including age appropriate articles, images, educational videos and interactive learning games to assist with understanding and development, have a look at our selection below and download the homework help brochures.

Famous people in the past

Robert Burns is one of our famous Scottish poets, He was born in Alloway, Ayrshire in 1759. Burns died at the age of 37 and people have been reciting his poetry all over the world for many years.

Over the years Renfrewshire has been home to many famous people, from poets and politicians to industrialists and architects. Their writings, inventions and discoveries have been widely influential and have helped shape Renfrewshire's history.
