Family and adult learning is about learning outside of school, it is suitable for all ages and abilities and can be arranged at a time and place to suit you. There are a number of places in Renfrewshire where adults, young people, children and families can learn.
- learning centres
- libraries
- community centres
- youth clubs
- colleges

Private and voluntary organisations work together with the council to provide different types of learning at a pace that suits you. Examples of learning opportunities include:
- computer based courses, from beginners through to basic college courses.
- courses designed to help build your confidence, if you are thinking of returning to education and are a little nervous about it.
- help with reading, writing and using numbers
- Gaelic from beginner level
- working with cameras and scanner
- child development
- creative writing
To help you through all the choices we also provide:
- support and guidance to help you decide how, where, and what you wish to learn
- a creche for young children who have not yet started school or nursery.
