To help you learn and study, our libraries provide:
- books, including study guides and text books
- computers you can book to access the Internet
- online learning packages to help you use email, computers and the web
- information resources including journals and newspaper archives
- information on learning opportunities
- homework resources
- study space
- photocopy and fax services.
Trained library staff support learners of all ages in many different activities from:
- putting together Powerpoint presentations
- taming technology sessions to develop your IT skills
- using digital cameras
- tracing your family tree
- compiling a bibliography
- finding items on your reading list
All lifelong learning services are available during library opening hours and some special sessions can be pre-booked. Libraries are open on Saturdays until 5pm. For details of evening opening, please see opening times, or contact your local library.
Libraries work in partnership with other local and national organisations to offer learning opportunities for everyone.
