This programme is suitable for young residents of Renfrewshire aged 16-19 who are interested in a career in the Council.



Modern apprenticeship opportunities include:

• business administration
• customer service
• housing
• information technology

All apprenticeships are dependent on current vacancies.

What are modern apprenticeships?
Modern apprenticeships offer young people who meet the essential criteria paid employment combined with the opportunity to train for office based jobs. They are a way of gaining skills and a qualification while earning an attractive salary without having to study full-time.

Potential modern apprentices must have:

• a minimum of two Highers at grade C or above
• self motivation
• the ability to work as part of a team
• the commitment to achieve an SVQ at Level 3

Modern apprentices receive a fixed-term contract up to an initial period of 2 years with the opportunity to secure permanent employment based on performance.

An excellent training opportunity and an attractive starting salary will be offered to successful applicants.
