Below is a list of grants that the council provides to groups, projects or organisations.The grants are listed under the council departments that provide them. Use the contact telephone numbers to apply for a grant or find out more. Please note that some of the grants are only available at certain times of year.

Corporate Services Department

• Community Grant Scheme - Grants are available to properly constituted local groups and voluntary organisations which carry out activities that benefit local communities. Phone: 0141 840 3399.
• Renfrewshire Educational Trust - provides grants for educational purposes, including travel, music and the arts, to individuals and bodies, such as schools, within the Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde areas. Phone: 0141 840 3147/3630

Education and Leisure Department

• Education Grants to Voluntary Organisations - available to groups which provide facilities or services of a community education nature, for example, young people, for unemployment, etc. Phone: 0141 842 5608.
• Pre 5 Voluntary Sector - available to groups to promote work relating to Pre 5s, under 3s and workplace day care. Phone: 0141 842 5613.
• Play schemes - grants are available to support the Play Schemes Forum and organisations operating play schemes in Renfrewshire. Phone: 0141 842 5608.
• After School Care - services for children from primary school entrance age upwards. Services which are registered under the Children‘s Act 1989. Phone: 0141 842 5613.
• Recreational and Cultural Activities - grants are available to support recreational and cultural activities. The amount granted depends on the funding available and the council's defined priorities. Phone: 0141 842 5736.

Environmental Services Department

• Animal Welfare and Environmental Education - limited funding available to organisations supporting animal welfare and environmental education in Renfrewshire. Phone: 0141 840 3106.

Finance and I.T Department

• Paisley Common Good Fund - these funds are for projects to benefit residents of the former burgh of Paisley. Phone: 0141 842 5533.
• Renfrew Common Good Fund - these funds are for projects to benefit residents of the former burgh of Renfrew. Phone: 0141 842 5533

Planning and Transport Department

• Economic Development and Business Grants - limited funding is available to organisations supporting economic development in Renfrewshire. Phone: 0141 842 5576.

Social Work Department

• Section 10 - The primary purpose of the organisation must be to promote social welfare by providing social work related services. The organisation must offer a cost effective, quality service which complements rather than duplicates Renfrewshire Council's services. Phone: 0141 842 5124.
