Renfrewshire Council Performs
Renfrewshire Council is ambitious for Renfrewshire. We want Renfrewshire to make a significant contribution to a modern and prosperous Scotland.
We have developed Renfrewshire Council Performs to make it easier for our citizens to assess our performance on a number of indicators for each of the council's key themes as detailed in the Council Plan.
Key themes
For each of our key themes, we have highlighted if overall performance has improved, declined or remained the same between 2007/08 and 2008/09.
Key Themes | Performance trend |
| Safer and stronger | |
| Wealthier and fairer | |
| Greener | |
| Smarter | |
| Healthier | |
| Developing our organisation |
The performance information used is based on the statutory performance indicators set by the Accounts Commission and collected from all Scottish councils.
Key
= Performance improving
= Performance worsening
= Performance maintaining
We have grouped our statutory performance indicators by the council's key themes. To see a scorecard detailing a summary of our performance for each key theme click on the links in the table above or in the related content. A scorecard is a group of performance indicators.
Each of the indicators is designed to help you better understand the cost, economy, efficiency or effectiveness with which council services are delivered. Most of the major council services are reflected in the selection of indicators.
Many of the indicators presented can be used to consider how the performance of Renfrewshire Council's services has changed over time. Where available, we have shown our performance over the past three years. However, some of the indicators have either had changes in definition since earlier years or have changed in terms of the collected data. In such cases, direct comparison over time may not be possible or appropriate.
We have also provided a trend analysis on each document of how performance has improved or declined between 2007-2008 and 2008-2009
The information contained in Renfrewshire Performs has been subject to a rigorous audit and Renfrewshire Council is satisfied that the information shown is correct.
