Chambers of Commerce comprise the world’s largest business support organisation. In the UK, membership is voluntary and the Scottish Chambers, along with the British Chambers of Commerce, are prominent members of the worldwide movement of Chambers.

Chambers in Scotland
Membership is open to any firm or company irrespective of size. Collectively, Chambers in Scotland have an annual turnover of over £7.3 million and the current membership ranges from the country’s largest companies to the smallest retail and professional operations. The present membership ranked by market capitalisation, includes 23 of the top 25 companies, and 38 of the top 50 companies in Scotland. Together Scotland’s Chambers provide well over half the private-sector jobs in Scotland and provide an unequalled geographical and sectoral representation throughout Scotland compared to other organisations representing Scottish business.

Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce has been recorded, as one of Scotland’s fastest growing chambers is Scotland, with a membership growth rate recorded at 36%. They have over 900 members who represent over 18% of the business community in Renfrewshire. They also have a strong industrial and manufacturing base with over 40% of Scotland’s manufactured exports originating from Renfrewshire.

They work pro-actively at local, national and international levels providing comprehensive services and support through networking, representation, information, skills development and business development and global trading.
