In Renfrewshire, business premises are inspected to make sure that they are safe for employees to work in and for the public to visit. The inspection work is split between two agencies: the council's Environmental Services Health Officers inspect Renfrewshire's offices, shops and warehouses, and the Health and Safety Executive inspect premises such as factories and building sites.
