Services provided for multi-storey flats

We provide some multi-storey flats with a 24 hour concierge service, while others are looked after by caretakers. If you live in a multi-storey flat, the level of service which you can reasonably expect from these services is as set out below.

Our concierge officers will:

• treat you fairly, and be polite and helpful at all times;
• respect your confidentiality and dignity;
• refuse access to unauthorised callers;
• carry out a security inspection of each floor at least six times a day;
• tell the police immediately of any problem with security, or any disturbances outside the building;
• investigate any disturbances within the building immediately, and take appropriate action;
• brush or mop the lifts and foyer areas at least once a day;
• remove any litter or other rubbish from around the building, and sweep the external stairs and paved area around the block each day;
• open the laundrettes by 8am, and close them by 8pm, Monday to Friday. (open Saturdays and Sundays between 12pm and 5pm);
• brush and mop the laundrette floors at least twice a day, and wash the tiles once a week;
• order any repairs needed to the laundrette and other equipment within 24 hours, or immediately if they are needed for safety and security;
• check refuse chutes each day, and make sure any blockages are cleared; and
• deal with all reasonable requests from tenants within 24 hours for help in moving or storing bulky or items of rubbish.
