If you are a Council tenant, Renfrewshire Council will:

• check your Housing Benefit entitlement within 48 hours of you asking
• offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs
• send you a statement of your account within five working days of you asking
• make sure that if you are having difficulty paying your rent, you can get appropriate advice on welfare benefits and other financial matters
• make reasonable arrangements to allow you to pay off your rent arrears by instalments
• confirm agreed rent arrears arrangements in writing
