Housing for homeless people

Your homeless interview

Home > Services > Housing > Housing Options Guide > Housing for homeless people

It's very important that you attend your interview at Housing Advice and Homeless Services, Abercorn Street Service, 15 Abercorn Street, Paisley PA3 4AA.. The interview allows us to process your homeless application and to provide you with temporary accommodation. You will also be given information and advice about permanent accommodation.

Be honest - it can be a criminal offence to withhold information about your circumstances. This may affect your housing application and could mean you lose your place to stay.

Bring confirmation of your identity and date of birth, such as passport or driving licence to the interview. If possible, you should bring items such as your children’s birth certificates, as well as any documents relevant to your situation. This may include a letter from your parents, a 'notice to quit' from your landlord, a copy of your lease, and so on. This information will help us to verify your circumstances and deal with your application as quickly as possible.
