Strategic Housing Investment Plan

Every council has to prepare a Strategic Housing Investment Plan for its area.

This plan shows how investment in affordable housing (through grant subsidies to housing associations for newbuild housing for social rent, shared equity and comprehensive tenement improvement) is targeted to achieve the outcomes set out in the council's Local Housing Strategy and its annual updates. Here is the latest update Local Housing Strategy 2007 Update.

We would like your comments and feedback on the draft Strategic Housing Investment Plan by Friday 21 November. The draft plan is comprised of two parts:


It should be noted that the information contained in the appendices is based on initial discussions with the Scottish Government's local area team and housing associations, and represents a 'snap-shot' of the local programme. Further work is in progress to collect detailed project planning information for inclusion in the final Strategic Housing Investment Plan which will be submitted to the Scottish Government by 28 November 2008.
