If you are a Renfrewshire Council tenant, our housing service will:
- give you a tenancy agreement on the day you formally accept our offer of housing;
- carry out all duties outlined in the tenancy agreement;
- take every reasonable step to make sure you keep to the tenancy agreement; and
- tell you the outcome of estate management decisions within the following timescales:
Succession to tenancy

Mutual exchange
20 working days
Garden Assistance Scheme
10 working days
Permissions
Alter or improve property
15 working days
Put up a garden shed or other outbuilding
15 working days
Build a drive for a car or other motor vehicle
15 working days
Transfer the tenancy of your home to someone else
15 working days
Sublet your home
15 working days
Take in a lodger
15 working days
Run a business from a council house
15 working days
