Advice for EU citizens

Renfrewshire is home to many residents from different European Union (EU) countries that make an important contribution to our area. We hope that you feel that Renfrewshire is a safe and welcoming environment for all nationalities.

You will want to know as much as possible about what will happen when the UK plans to leave the EU (Brexit) so we will put all relevant information on this web page as it becomes available.

The MyGov website provides information and guidance to help you prepare for EU exit, including a 'no deal' situation. While not all information is available at this time, regular updates will be made to the site as new information becomes available.

EU Exit - What do I need to know?

The EU Settlement Scheme provides further details about how EU citizens and their families can obtain settled status in the UK.

Regular updates are being provided to our elected members on the preparations for any outcome by senior officers, including the Chief Executive, to address all arising issues.
