EU Settlement Scheme

The EU Settlement Scheme provides further details about how EU citizens and their families can obtain settled status in the UK.

Work to prepare within the council

Regular updates are being provided to our elected members on the preparations for any outcome by senior officers, including the Chief Executive, to address all arising issues.

Senior officers are meeting on a regular basis to analyse all risks associated with Brexit to ensure we are fully prepared for all outcomes of the process.

We know many of our local businesses have employees who are EU citizens.

The UK and Scottish Governments have both provided useful guidance for businesses to help prepare for the UK leaving the EU.
