Renfrewshire Council

Traders can book in for business and retail surgeries

Renfrewshire Council will next month host the first of what we hope will become regular surgeries offering support to Paisley town centre businesses.

Organisers are keen to meet as many of you as possible to discuss town centre issues and find out what the council can do to support local traders.

The first of these surgeries will take place on Thursday 10 October from 5 until 6.30pm at 5a High Street, Paisley.

The surgeries will cover the following:

  • Business support - we may be able to help you access financial or other support;
  • Events programme - we have a busy programme of winter events coming up and are keen for businesses to capitalise on the opportunities these offer;
  • Spend Local - we are encouraging residents, staff and visitors to spend local - find out how we can promote your discounts to our thousands of staff;
  • Any other town centre issues the council may be able to help with.

For more info or if you are interested in coming along, please email to book a timeslot.

Business Gateway Renfrewshire will also be hosting retail surgeries at InCube, 27 High Street, Paisley, on Thursday 3 and Wednesday 9 October.

The retail surgery is for retail organisations in Renfrewshire that currently operate from shop or business premises and conduct traditional retail activities.

This one to one surgery provides an opportunity to discuss how to identify issues and areas of development such as sales and marketing for retailers; supply chain networking; pricing practices and turnover growth; implementing systems and customer service procedures, and market research.

To attend, please call Marie Milne on 0141 530 2406 or email to pick a timeslot.
