Volunteer for Year of Young People

Young people across Renfrewshire are being urged to get involved in local events as part of the Year of Young People.

Young people, supported by the Council's Youth Services team, are being asked to get in touch and say what events they would be interested in volunteering at.

Every young person who takes part will earn Young Scot rewards and gain valuable experience working with the Council's events team.

Highlights include:

Doors Open Day - 8 September

  • Help to develop and support a young person's trail as part of this annual event and you'll see some of the area's fantastic buildings to boot.

Paisley Halloween Festival - 26 to 27 October

  • Kids will get involved in creating and delivering part of this event, including performance and back stage experience

Positive About Youth awards - 30 November

  • An event for young people by young people. Help to present the awards, organise the event or promote it.

Other key dates are:

  • Paisley Museum closing event - 7 September
  • YOYP Colour Run - September TBC
  • Pop up Cinema @ Paisley Museum - 16 October
  • Mini Monster Ball - October TBC
  • Break the Rules @ Paisley Museum - 23 to 25 November
