Food and Drink Festival

Paisley Food and Drink Festival is bigger and better than ever

I can't wait for a culinary extravaganza as the Paisley Food and Drink Festival returns in April.

This year will be bigger and better than ever before as the festival takes place over two days for the first time on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 April.

Locals and visitors will be able to enjoy the very best of Scotland's larder right in the heart of Paisley, with a fantastic selection of street food vendors, tasting sessions, interactive workshops, live music and much more.

Masterchef - The Professionals 2014 winner Jamie Scott is this year's celebrity chef at the Food and Drink Festival and he will be passing on his tricks of the trade during a series of cooking demonstrations.

Also confirmed to attend is popular children's entertainer, Mr Bloom, who will provide a fun day for kids and families alike on Saturday 28 of April.

There will be plenty to keep the kids entertained during the festival with a selection of free children's workshops and entertainment. Keep an eye on www.paisley.is for the full programme of all activities to be announced soon.

The Food and Drink Festival will take place alongside the Paisley Beer Festival - Scotland's largest real ale festival -which is run by Renfrewshire CAMRA from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 April.

Both festivals will welcome people from all over Scotland and beyond, so it's sure to be a spectacular atmosphere in Paisley's Abbey Close - and I urge everyone to come along and join the fun.

Lorraine.
