Fireworks over Paisley Abbey

See the stunning sights of Paisley's fireworks extravaganza

Paisley's winter events season is in full swing and this weekend will see the return of the ever popular Fireworks Spectacular.

It was a frighteningly fun time in Paisley last weekend for the annual Halloween Festival, which brought over 25,000 to the town - and thousands are expected to turn out again to see Paisley's historic skyline light up on Saturday (4 Nov).

This year's extravaganza comes with a special 80s theme and all the fun kicks off with lots of free family activities in Paisley Town Hall from 2pm.

There are a number of kids workshops and ReMode Redesign Print Workshops, as well as vintage arcade games units for fans of Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, Mario and more!

Those who enjoy a wee dance can show off their moves at silent disco sessions all afternoon - and there's even a prize for the best 80s themed fancy dress dancer at the end of each session.

Radio Clyde DJs will soundtrack the evening with all of our favourite 80s classics from 6pm at the Town Hall as excitement builds towards the dazzling display.

Then make sure you wrap up warm and get your spot in Abbey Close at 7pm to watch the stunning firework display light up the sky above Paisley.

It's set to be a fantastic day of entertainment and I can't wait to enjoy the spectacular show with you all.

You can check out for all the details of the day.
