Dive in and get involved at Renfrew Gala Day!

Come along on to Renfrew Leisure Centre playing fields on Sunday 4 June from 1pm to 5pm and enjoy live entertainment from Pulse FM, music, dance, a selection of fabulous stalls, funfair rides, free activities for kids and the dress up parade!

The theme of this year's parade is 'Under the Sea' and everyone is invited to jump in and take part. The parade will depart from Robertson Park (Craigielea Road) at 1pm, making its way to Renfrewshire Leisure Centre for approximately 1.20pm to kick-start this year's Gala Day celebrations!

Taking part in the parade will be; Arkleston Baby and Toddler Group, Kirklandneuk Community Centre - Guides, Brownies and Mums and Tots group, Renfrew High Home Link, Jazzle Dazzle and Karen E Moir School of Dance. Kids of all ages will love the petting zoo, and there is even free children's face painting and inflatable activities. Renfrew Football Club and Paisley Rugby Club will be hosting 'come and try' sessions and Jazzle Dazzle will be providing some show stopping cheerleading performances.

Try out Caravan Obscura's boxes that will literally turn your world upside down and experience an extraordinary light installation in their caravan with a difference!

If that doesn't whet your appetite there will be hot and cold food stands and a tea room hosted by St Margaret's Church in aid of Renfrew Guides.

Renfrew Gala Day takes place during a week-long gala celebration which also includes Renfrew on Film 3, a show featuring local 'lost' archive footage to the soundtrack of Renfrew Burgh band. Taking place on Thursday 15 June from 7-9pm at Renfrew Town Hall this event is supported by Renfrew Leisure, Renfrew Museum Group and Renfrew Burgh Band. Tickets are free and are available to reserve from Eventbrite.

A family ceilidh and Renfrew Youth Citizen of the Year Awards will take place on Friday 1 June from 7pm in Renfrew Town Hall. Tickets are free and are available to reserve from Eventbrite or in person at Renfrew Town Hall.

A Bonnie Baby and Toddlers competition will also take place on Wednesday 31 May from 12noon organised by and held in The Cherrie Centre.
