Recruitment event is just the job

Locals looking for work are being encouraged to get along to a special event in Paisley Town Hall this month.

The Recruitment Event on Thursday 30 March has been organised by Renfrewshire Council's Invest in Renfrewshire team in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, Developing the Young Workforce - West, Engage Renfrewshire and Job Centre Plus/ Department of Work and Pensions.

Over 40 businesses recruiting right now for more than 500 vacancies will in attendance at the event to fill these vacancies.

Ruth Cooper, Economic Development Manager at Renfrewshire Council, said: "Events like this with a wide range of employers gathered under one roof are a great opportunity for people to explore their options. With full and part time vacancies and modern apprenticeships available across a wide range of sectors, there are plenty of opportunities in the job market right now.

"I would encourage anyone considering their job prospects to come along and speak to the employers at this event."
