The project team are now developing and evaluating the various options for infrastructure which will deliver the maximum benefits to Renfrewshire residents and businesses.

The Glasgow Airport Investment Area (GAIA) and Clyde Waterfront & Renfrew Riverside (CWRR) projects are both at a similar stage; the work currently underway includes identifying possible locations for the bridges and associated roads, paths and cycle ways. These options will each be refined and assessed in an appraisal process to establish the most appropriate and effective option.

During the appraisal process a number of events will be held to provide information and opportunities for public engagement. These include meeting Local Area Committees, Community Councils as well as public exhibitions to allow stakeholders and the general public to contribute to, and comment on, the various options and the emerging designs.

The first programme of Public exhibitions showing the options for infrastructure locations being considered on the CWRR & GAIA projects are planned at:

Renfrew Town HallTuesday 17th May 10am to 7.00pm
Paisley Town HallWednesday 18th May 10am to 7pm
Intu Shopping Centre, BraeheadThursday 19th May 10am to 7pm
St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Education CentreThursday 16th June 10am to 7pm
Yoker Community CampusTuesday 21st June 10am to 7pm

Comments gathered at these events will be considered by the teams as part of the appraisal and design process. You can also provide feedback online at the following link;

Supporting information and leaflets can be found in the 'related documents' section.

Comments received will be considered by the project teams as part of the appraisal and design process to identify the best performing options for bridge locations, road and cycleway alignments will have been identified.

After investigating the best performing options in greater detail the projects will be exhibited publicly again to enable additional opportunity for comments and feedback.

AAP

Due to the technical complexities and constraints involved, the Airport Access Project (AAP) has a significantly longer development process, with the scheme expected to be completed and operational by 2025.

Work currently underway for the AAP comprises identification of the preferred route and mode (e.g. Tram Train / Personal Rapid Transport). These will each be evaluated in an appraisal process to establish the best performing solution. The opportunity for information events and public engagement for the AAP will follow in due course.

For more detail on each project, see the project specific pages in the related articles section of this page.
