Renfrewshire Council

Food and drinks cartons

Tetrapak drinks cartons are recyclable and therefore should be put into your blue recycling bin or in one of our mixed recycling containers at our recycling points or our household waste recycling centres.

Tetrapak drinks Cartons are a composite packaging material - in other words they are not made from paper alone but comprise of about 75% paper, 20% plastic (polyethylene) and 5% aluminium foil (for long-life products).

The collection method of Tetrapak varies throughout different councils; In Renfrewshire we collect your drinks cartons with your mixed recyclate.

Please remember to rinse and squash your Tetrapak cartons where possible.

For more information on Tetrapak recycling see the Tetrapak website.
