From 1 December 2020 until 3 January 2020, all council-owned car parks in Paisley town centre will be free.

This supersedes the three hours free parking pilot, although this will return from 4 January.

On-street parking will still be charged during these times.

Parking permits for Paisley

Apply for, renew or update your parking permit for Paisley.

We have three different types of parking permit:

  • resident permit
  • business permit
  • seasonal long stay car park permit

Some residents and businesses qualify for permits for various parking zones in Paisley. We issue parking permits for these zones subject to conditions.

If you do qualify, you can apply for a parking permit online

Your car must be registered in the name and address shown on your application form. If you have a company or leased car, you must prove the vehicle is used only by you. Send a letter from your company confirming this with your application.

The scheme does not allow for borrowed or shared vehicles that are not registered within the zone.
